Help West Valley College Students Reach Their Educational Goals
The Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) at West Valley College serves students who face social, economic, and educational barriers to achieving their academic dreams. Many are first-generation college students, student parents, or individuals balancing school, work, and family responsibilities. EOPS provides essential support including academic counseling, textbook vouchers, and a strong sense of belonging to help students thrive. However, even with these services, financial challenges often remain the biggest obstacle to success.
That's why we established the EOPS Scholarship Fund to provide direct financial assistance to our students who need it most.
OUR GOAL: To raise $3,000 in scholarship funds!
Your Impact
Your gift helps students stay enrolled, complete their studies, and transfer to four-year universities. Contributions to the EOPS Scholarship Fund provide:
- Textbook and course material support
- Transportation assistance to get to and from campus
- Technology or emergency aid to remove financial barriers
- Scholarship awards that recognize resilience and academic achievement
Every contribution large or small makes a meaningful difference.
Why It Matters
Each EOPS students journey is a story of resilience. Behind every scholarship award is a student who refused to give up:
- A single parent balancing family responsibility while completing their degree to create a better future for themselves and their loved ones.
- A first-generation college student transferring to a university after years of hard work.
- A student overcoming housing or food insecurity to stay in school.
Your support helps these students continue their education and achieve their goals.

The West Valley-Mission Foundation supports the vision of two community colleges in the heart of Silicon Valley: West Valley College in Saratoga, California and Mission College in Santa Clara, California. Through generous donations, volunteer time, or internship opportunities, alumni and friends of the college give back to those who aspire toward an associate degree, certificate, or transfer into a bachelor's program. In its efforts to provide support for scholarships, books, equipment, food and basic needs, transportation, or research and program materials, the Foundation is a powerful vehicle for making a lasting difference in students lives.
